A RAVENSWOOD CHIROPRACTIC WORKSHOP
Are Hidden Allergies Making You Sick? Childhood Allergy Development and Beyond

Are you making significant efforts to lose weight but you are disappointed with the results?

Do you feel fatigued and run-down but doctors say they can’t find anything wrong with you?

Most people are familiar with peanut and shellfish allergies, which can come on suddenly after exposure and be life-threatening. These reactions are called Type 1 (IgE mediated ) immediate hypersensitivity reaction. Some people can also have delayed reactions to foods. These are called Type 2,3, or 4 (Antibody IgG, IgM, IgA, Immune Complex & cell-mediated) hypersensitivity reactions which occur several hours to days after exposure. The symptoms are usually chronic because you don’t relate them to the food you eat due to the delayed reaction so you keep eating the offending food. Symptoms vary by individual and can range from general malaise to headaches or irritable bowel or more. Join us on May 12 at 2:30 pm to learn about the current research on why allergies develop in children, contributing factors to adult onset allergies and things you can do today to eliminate hidden allergies. This presentation is free and all are welcome. Pre-registration is required at the events section of our website: www.RennWellness.com and is hosted by Ravenswood Chiropractic & Wellness Center at 5215 North Ravenswood, Suite 105, Chicago, IL 60640. For more information please call us at 773.878.7330.
